16th Dec 2022
As part of their World Around Us Topic The Famine and Victorians P.6 & 7 enjoyed a class trip to the Ulster American Folk Park. They explored stories of everyday life visiting traditional Irish thatched homes and discovering how people cared for their belongings in the past paying attention to elements such as heat, cooking, waste and water. They even got to eat some delicious homemade pancakes. They also explored emigration and what life was like when people arrived in America through visiting the dockside and the life-size replica ship, the Brig Unionate.
